Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
Trades Logger, Business ID [Company / dealer registration no.], [Business address, Israel], Israel (“we”) operates Trades Logger and is the owner of the database that holds your personal information (the “controller” under the GDPR). Privacy contact: support@tradeslogger.com.
2. What we collect, and whether you must provide it
You are not legally required to give us any personal information. But without the details marked “needed” below we cannot create your account or provide the Service.
- Account details (needed): email address, name and profile picture if you sign in with Google, and your sign-in identifiers.
- Your trading journal (provided by you, needed to use the Service): trades, prices, quantities, times, notes, tags, chart screenshots, journal entries and your fee settings. This information can reveal your financial situation, which Israeli privacy law treats as sensitive information. We use it only to provide the Service to you and never for advertising or profiling for third parties.
- Technical data: IP address, browser/device type and timestamps, used for security, fraud prevention and reliability.
- Billing data (paid plans): handled by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record. Card details go directly to Paddle and never reach us. We receive only your plan, subscription status and renewal dates, and a Paddle customer reference.
- Messages you send us (contact form or email).
- Terms acceptance record: the version of the Terms/Privacy Policy you accepted and when.
- Community content (optional, only if you use the Community): your chosen nickname and the trades, captions, notes, screenshots and comments you decide to post. These are visible to other members with a verified email under your nickname, never your name or email. Dollar amounts and share counts are shown only if you choose to show them. Posts you publish are no longer private to you. You can delete them at any time, and they are deleted when you delete your data or account.
3. Why we use it, and your consent
We use personal information to: provide and secure the Service; calculate your statistics; handle billing; reply to you; comply with law; and enforce our Terms. By registering and accepting this policy you consent to this use. You may withdraw consent by deleting your account.
4. Who receives it
We use service providers that process data on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication and database), our website hosting provider, a market-data provider (which receives only the stock symbol and date of a chart you open), and Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record (for paid plans), which acts as an independent controller of your payment and tax data under its own privacy notice. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or a court order, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (with the same protections).
If you use the optional AI Coach (Elite plan), then only when you ask it a question and after you agree on the coach screen, a text summary of your closed trades (symbols, dates, results, tags and the notes you wrote) is sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to write the reply. We do not send it at any other time, and the pattern cards on that screen are calculated on your device.
5. Transfers outside Israel
Our providers may store or process data outside Israel, including in the European Union and the United States. Where we transfer data abroad, we do so in line with the Israeli Privacy Protection (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad) Regulations, 5761-2001, and, for people in the EU/UK, the GDPR, relying on the providers’ data-processing terms and standard contractual clauses or an equivalent lawful mechanism.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and access rules restrict each account’s records to that account. We apply information-security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, in line with the Israeli Privacy Protection (Data Security) Regulations, 5777-2017. If a serious security incident affects your data, we will notify the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority and affected users as the law requires. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
7. How long we keep it
While your account is active. When you delete your account from Settings, your journal data is deleted immediately and your sign-in is removed; remaining copies in backups and logs are purged on a rolling schedule. We may keep limited records where the law requires (for example, tax invoices).
8. Your rights
Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 you may review the information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, incomplete or no longer needed. If you are in the EU/UK you also have GDPR rights, including portability, restriction and objection; California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. You can export and delete most of your data yourself under Import / Export and Settings. For anything else, email support@tradeslogger.com; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or, if you are in the EU/UK, to your local data-protection authority.
9. Cookies and local storage
We use only what is essential: your sign-in session, your theme choice, and a local cache that makes the app faster. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where required.
10. Marketing messages
We send service messages (such as email verification and password reset). We will send promotional messages only with your prior explicit consent, and every such message will include an easy way to unsubscribe (Section 30A of the Israeli Communications Law).
11. Children
The Service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes here and notify you of material changes by email or in the app.
