  2. If you used email, open the verification message we send you and click the button inside it.
  3. Open Import / Export and press Load sample data to look around first, or go straight to New trade.
  4. Your dashboard, calendar and reports fill in automatically as you add trades.

Adding and editing a trade

What each field means, and how to record partial exits.

  1. Choose New trade. Enter the date, time, symbol, number of shares, direction (Long or Short) and your actual entry price.
  2. Add one exit when you sell (or cover). Add several exits for partial sales. Each exit has its own price, date and reason.
  3. Commissions and net P&L are calculated for you. A trade stays Open until the exited shares equal the position.
  4. Tags (for example “breakout”) let you compare setups later in Analytics. Paste a chart screenshot with Ctrl+V.

How commissions are calculated

Every buy, sell and partial sell is charged on its own.

  1. Open Settings and enter what your broker charges: the fee per action, up to how many shares that fee applies, and the fee per share once you go above that limit. New accounts start with no fees.
  2. Every buy, sell and partial sell is priced on its own share count and rounded up to the next cent. Example: $1.50 up to 428 shares, then $0.0035 per share: 20 shares cost $1.50, 600 shares cost $2.10, 1,000 shares cost $3.50.
  3. Saving fees affects trades you add or edit afterwards. Use Re-price in Settings to recalculate your existing trades.

Importing your broker's fills

Paste or upload your executions and we rebuild the trades.

  1. In your broker, open the orders or executions list for the day and copy the rows (or export a CSV).
  2. Open Import / Export → Import broker fills, paste the rows or upload the file, and review the preview.
  3. Selling first creates a short; buying first creates a long. Pieces of one order in the same second are combined so they pay one commission.
  4. Importing the same file twice does not create duplicates. Anything that doesn’t end flat is flagged for you.

Exit performance and max potential P&L

See how much of each move you captured, and what you left on the table.

  1. On a closed trade, fill in the highest and lowest price while you were in it (read it off your chart).
  2. Open Analytics and scroll to Exit performance. Efficiency is your actual gross profit divided by the maximum available move.
  3. Max potential P&L is what the trade would have made if you had sold every share at the best price. The difference is money left on the table.
  4. The table of biggest misses shows which trades to review first.

Sharing trades in the Community

Post a trade, get feedback, and keep your privacy.

  1. Open Community in the side menu. You need a verified email address. Choose a nickname once; it is the only thing other members see.
  2. Press Share a trade, pick a closed trade and write what you want feedback on. Dollar amounts, share count, your notes and your chart screenshot are all off unless you tick them.
  3. Other members can comment. You can delete your posts and comments at any time, and report anything inappropriate with the Report button.
  4. Posts are personal opinions, not investment advice. Never share account numbers or personal details.
